Graffiti Knitting

It’s not just Nanas that do knitting you know. There is an underground (well similar) group of like minded individuals who enjoy sharing their love of knitting and turning it into art. Some of the WAVE team took to the streets and went to Greerton, Tauranga to see this knitting art. From bikini tops, to giant pom poms hanging from the trees to intricate spider webs and delicate flowers all done by knitting.

It’s great to see this environmentally friendly graffiti on the Tauranga streets, it surely brightens up the streets and keeps the trees warm in their little knitted jerseys.
